I am honored to serve as the 2018 – 2020 District IV Chair for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). This is an exciting time for CASE at both the local and global level, particularly as we enter into the second year of CASE’s new strategic plan, Reimagining CASE 2017 -2021.1
The next phase of CASE’s new strategic plan, which focuses on district governance structure, is anticipated to result in better identification of district members’ professional development needs while simultaneously enhancing the use and application of district volunteer skills and talents.
Such an approach fits wonderfully with current efforts already underway in our district. Over the past few years, many of your colleagues have been hard at work successfully providing professional development opportunities throughout our member states. I am proud of their efforts and look forward to more outstanding programming this year.
There is no doubt the work we undertake is of vital importance. Competition for visibility, donors and reputation continues unabated and will likely increase in the years to come. Our connection to one another through CASE not only allows us to learn from each other but also propels and challenges us to achieve more. I hope that each of you will take advantage of all that CASE has to offer.
