Accolades Official Rules

New this year: CASE District IV will also participate in the CASE Platinum categories. These seven categories focus on best practices in the advancement field. Participants will enter at the district level and up to two winners in each category will advance to compete against winners from the other CASE districts. ELIGIBILITY
The competition will open on Saturday, Nov. 1 and will close on Friday, Jan. 16.

All employees of member institutions in CASE District IV are eligible for these awards. Work done by freelancers or outside agencies is eligible but must be submitted by the institution. Any project produced or implemented since November 1, 2013 is eligible for the competition.

JUDGING
Entries are judged by a panel of experts who are not current advancement professionals in District IV.

AWARDS
Entries may be selected to receive the following awards:

  • Gold- presented for an entry judged to be the best of its class.
  • Silver- presented for an exceptional entry.
  • Bronze- presented for an outstanding entry.
  • Honorable Mention- presented, at the judges’ discretion, for an entry that deserves recognition.

Awards are not necessarily given in each category.

Award winners will receive a certificate suitable for framing. The names of the winners will also be published in an official Awards Listing and distributed at the 2015 CASE Conference.

The names of the office and institution responsible for the winning entry appear on the awards certificates. (If multiple copies of the winner certificates are needed, additional certificates may be ordered at a cost of $15 each from the Awards Chair, Carrie Phillips, until May 31, 2015. After that date, no extra certificates will be printed.) This form will be available at the conference award presentation and online following the conference.

ENTRY PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS
The fee per entry is $25. Multiple entries are encouraged. A project may be entered in more than one category, but an entry fee is needed for each category.

CASE District IV offers an online submission and payment process/system.

All entries being submitted will use the online system regardless of payment method.

Those selecting credit card as a method of payment, will enter this information as part of the checkout process.

All others should select the “Pay via Check or Purchase Order” option during checkout. Once completed, print the invoice and send along with your check or purchase order.

Make checks payable to CASE District IV. Your invoice and check must be postmarked no later than January 16, 2015, and sent to:

ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS

Basic entry information for items being submitted in multiple categories will only need to be collected once. Multiple entry materials may be submitted with a single payment.

Entry materials include the following items:

  • Entry Title
  • Contact Name of Entrant Responsible for Entry
  • CEO Name
  • CEO Contact Information
  • Institution Name to be Printed on Award
  • Office Name to be Printed on Award
  • Outside Services Employed
  • Cost

All entries will also include a statement regarding:

  • Purpose
  • Audience
  • Results

Upon completing the above materials, you will then be able to select the applicable category (ies) for the entry.

Once you have completed the first item you wish to submit, click the “Add a Project” tab to enter another item in the competition or click “Continue” to proceed to the payment screen.

The entry system will time out after two (2) hours of inactivity. Non-submitted entries will be lost after this period of inactivity. Only 10 entries may be submitted per transaction.

Entries are not stored in the database until contact and payment information has been entered and the form submitted.

Those submitting numerous entries may complete the entry process under several transactions to avoid submitting all entries at once. To do this, please select the “Pay via Check or Purchase Order” for each transaction. Once all transactions have been completed, contact Carrie Phillips to combine the transactions for one credit card payment.

MAILING ENTRIES
Entries must be postmarked no later than January 16, 2015. Please make sure entries are mailed to the correct judging coordinator. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

WINNING ENTRIES
Winning entries will be displayed at the 2015 CASE Conference at the Hilton Hotel in Austin, TX.

Any entries not retrieved by the end of the conference will be discarded. Non-winning entries are not returned unless prior arrangements have been made.

Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony in Austin, TX on Monday, April 13.
