University-Foundation Relationship Case Study: UNT & The Greater Texas Foundation
Finding the perfect fit for a major foundation collaboration requires research, relationship building and let’s be honest, a bit of the stars aligning. This session will focus on the relationship between University of North Texas (UNT) and The Greater Texas Foundation and how these two organizations have worked together to create a successful university-foundation relationship. Bridges with Advancement and Research
Breaking boundaries and cultivating a collaborative relationship between the research and university advancement offices at Arkansas State University (A-State) is providing a positive cultural change in research on campus and the growth of both restricted and unrestricted funds for research and sponsored projects, further resulting in the cultivation of stronger relationships with stakeholders, sponsors and industry for both faculty and students. This collaborative effort at A-State is providing growth and steadiness in funding and research activity while we navigate the current national environment of declined funding. These continued efforts are a catalyst of positive cultural change in research on our campus, creating an elevated recognition of what research, scholarly, and creative works means to each college, and emphasizing how they are meaningful and critical to both the university and to the community of which we serve. This cultural change inspires activity from faculty, staff, and students in writing grants, their increase in public interaction with the community to engage interest in research taking place at A-State, and their participation in Create @ State, the university’s official symposium of research, scholarship, and creativity.
